Blue Lake — Monday, Aug. 18, 2025

Well maintained and highly trafficked trail. We arrived around noon; parking was alongside highway 20 by then. We glimpsed a mountain goat on the other side of the lake though it was hard to see (and the phone camera couldn't quite zoom enough). If you continue a bit around the lake and away from the overlook, it's less populated with other hikers and a lot more quiet.
