Cascade Pass and Sahale Arm — Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025

What worried me most at the start of this hike was the road based off of other reports. It certainly was rough with large potholes and wash boarding. However, my very low clearance sedan made it up just fine. I went at sunset on a weekday so there were relatively few people. Unfortunately, an evening thunder and lightning storm rolled in, precluding me from finishing the last half mile of the ascent. Will have to come back for more; it was a gorgeous day.
