This hike has beautiful views the whole time and the huckleberries are everywhere right now. The trail is in good condition, however there is a water crossing that gets more intense by the time you head back to the car. I was not able to rock hop the whole way and ended up stepping in the water to help coax my dog across. The water was not too cold and I found a spot that went up to my ankles. If the water had been clear my dog would have walked through without issue, it's harder when you can't tell exactly where to place your feet. Bring poles to help with the crossing
