Franklin Falls — Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025

During the long weekend my brother came to visit from Utah with his six kids. I knew a great place that had just expanded parking, guaranteeing he could fit their converted airport van somewhere.

It was a slightly smokey, sunny day, but the kids didn't pay any attention to the waterfall which bummed me out. Two SWers had set up a tip jar and were soliciting subscribers to their "Oh Eff" while spinning around on an athletic pole while in thongs (it was almost 85* to be fair.)

My brother wanted to make a scene but I talked him down and told him he cannot be a bigot here, and we discussed intersectional inclusivity and feminism. He has not spoken to me since but I am going to stand up for what is right.
