Perkins Pond — Tuesday, Sep. 2, 2025

Olympic Peninsula > Pacific Coast
Looking across Perkins Pond from the loop trail.

This trail was another find while staying in Ocean Shores. The trail goes all the way around Perkins Pond for 0.6 miles. The trail is named after Alice Perkins who saved the area next to the pond from development to the water's edge. The trail has some tunnels of Laural bushes along with views of the large pond. We saw some ducks paddling around and a few hummingbirds checking out the flowers. Makes for a nice short hike while staying in Ocean Shores.

The trailhead is located behind the Cabana Swimming Pool off of Seashore Street SW. From the parking lot by the pool, you walk over to the trail by some picnic tables. This is in the south part of Ocean Shores.
