A group of us hiked to Otter Falls and Big Creek Falls last week. It was a perfect place to hike on a very hot day! What made it even more perfect was seeing (and using) the beautiful new trail up to Lipsey Lake and the stairs/steps down to the lake at Otter Falls! Wow! Truly a model for excellence in trail building! I assume we have WTA work crews to thank? If so, Thank You!

Matt Christian on Taylor River - Otter Falls
This new trail and stairs were funded by a National Forest Foundation grant through Mountain to Sounds Greenway and the work was completed by Northwest Trails Inc., a private trail contractor out of Bellingham. It took about 3 weeks to construct with a crew of 4 with the help of heavy machinery.
