FYI: Don’t make the same mistake we did. After the parking lot, when you reach the trailhead, be sure to follow the signs and arrows don’t continue onto the forest service road if you're trying to reach the falls or other key destinations.

We arrived around 6:25 a.m., and there were already about five cars in the lot. The restroom was open, but the smell was pretty strong, even for an outhouse.

The trail itself was pleasant and not overgrown. We hiked to Big Creek Falls first, then stopped by Otter Falls on the way back. Highly recommend Otter Falls if you're doing this hike. Water flow was low this time of year, but the scenery was still beautiful.

The trail is gradual and manageable, we did it with a 10-year-old.
