Nice walk in the woods to Otter Falls today, which is just a trickle this time of year. I haven't been here in many years, so I was impressed to see the beautiful trail that branches off to Otter Falls from the main trail. Not sure how new it is, but it appeared very well constructed and like it was just finished recently. Well done trail crew! Sightings of dayglow fungi, fuzzy caterpillars, and foggy peaks kept the hike interesting. We arrived at the trailhead around 9:30 AM with plenty of parking and restrooms available. Wildfire smoke was visible but didn't seem to impact us much as this hike is mostly in the trees.
