I got to the trailhead parking lot at 7AM and saw two other cars. There is a nice dirt trail up to the fork where the Bridal Vail Falls trail takes off to the right. The trail up to the falls was rocky but there were lots of wooden lined stairs to climb thanks to the trail crews. The falls are underwhelming this time of year but would be impressive in the springtime. The hike up the rest of the way to the lake also had breadbox sized rocks strewn between boulders with occasional wood lined stairs. Due to a heavy overcast the hike was nice and cool, but the lake and surrounded peaks were still obscured at 10 AM. After returning to the trailhead, I noticed the parking lot was full since this is a very popular hike.
