Pinnacle Saddle, High Lakes Loop — Tuesday, Sep. 16, 2025

Parked at the westernmost parking lot at Reflection Lakes, followed the High Lakes Loop clockwise, and then finished up with the short-but-sweaty hike up to Pinnacle Saddle. The trail on both hikes was easy to follow and obstacle-free. Plenty of friendly people out on the trails, but neither hike was overrun. One young woman brought her dog to Pinnacle Saddle, brazenly passing several no-dogs signs on the way. Grrr. At least her four-legged companion was on a leash.

A beautiful day at Mt. Rainier National Park!
