Palouse to Cascades Trail - The Tunnel — Sunday, Sep. 28, 2025

Pretty smoky out from the Labor Mountain and Lower Sugarloaf Fires hopefully the rain will help clear it up a bit. Kids were initially interested in the idea of a long tunnel ride from past cave hikes but they didn’t particularly enjoy the cold and length of the tunnel. Plenty of artifacts to explore and the kids noticed the vine maple colors on either side of the tunnel but this may be a one time bike until the kids get older. Maybe avoid the Snoqualmie corridor until the rain finally comes to improve smoke conditions.
