We originally planned to hike a part of the Iron Goat Trail (perhaps the Wellington section), but with 2 members of the family fighting colds, a closer, shorter drive to Wallace Falls was decided on.
The road is fully accessible, paved all the way. The parking lot at around 10am was filling up, but it was still easy to find parking. The little office and store weren't open quite yet, but they were when we returned.
We hiked up only as far as the lower falls. The trail was in very good condition, barely even muddy yet. The river was flowing pretty well and the baby seemed fascinated by the movement. At the lower falls picnic area, he got out to toddle and have some snacks before we headed back down the trail. He also toddled the last section, under the power lines, with breaks to dig in the gravel and pick up sticks.
