Road: big potholes, was fine in my low clearance car as long as I drove slowly!
Trail: forested section was easy, just muddy. As I got up to the rocks on the east side as you emerge from the wooded section, i began to see the impacts from the first snow. Snow was pretty and light off the trail, so now microspikes needed. The issue was that some of the rocks were coated with ice that was difficult to see. Watched several folks slip and fall as a result. Recommend poles and slow pace through this section. The last stretch on the west side was fine as most of the snow and ice had melted off.
Views: views are beautiful and clear of smoke, nice to see the snowcaps on the mountains in view!
