Winchester Mountain — Friday, Oct. 17, 2025

After hearing it snowed in the North Cascades I wasn’t sure we’d make it up. Road was the usual, high clearance required and slow up.
Snow appeared to have melted somewhat from the snow that fell a few days ago. Trail was in good shape for where it is. Sleeping in the lookout with a 15F sleeping bag did the job

Lookout is OPEN, shutters are CLOSED with a lock for the season. Lookout could use some more candles since I used one. I left a medium 1/3 fuel can in case someone needs it in the future and took down an empty one.
Lookout can also use a new summit registration for the following year since the pages are full and people are filling in empty spaces
