We found this hike in Craig Romano's Urban Trails - Olympia (Hike 32 - page 158). When we parked, another couple with dog was returning to their car and reported to us that three pit bull-type dogs were romping around with no leash and no owner in sight. So, we left our two dogs in the car and did a short walk out into the open field to the north up to the edge of the woods. We checked out the sheet metal-sided shed and walked down a little trail to get close to the lake shore. There are many trails here to explore. A map is posted by the parking area. Romano reports more than 4 miles of trails. A pit toilet restroom is at the parking area. In driving through the nearby rural neighborhood, we noticed several free ranging dogs.
