We tried to get up to Walt Bailey trail on Sunday October 19th. The road was open and there was no active logging. We were able to make it until 2.5 miles from the trailhead, and there was a downed tree blocking the road.

Just a warning, while there was no active logging happening on the weekend, there were still signs about logging activity, and some heavy equipment still parked up there. They may still be logging on the weekdays.
