Sweet hike with big views for not much work. The trail starts opposite the lake from the parking lot. Climbs a bit, then traverses. At one point it empties on to the road. Walk a short distance and pick up the trail on the other side of the road.
Aspens are beautifully gold. Raptors riding the thermals. The trail is not a complete loop and we opted to drop down to the lake rather than continue along the other side. Walked the road through the campground back to the car. Toilets are open.
