Sun coming up ☀️

Early morning hike up main Mount Townsend trail (#839).  Road in was fine.  First car in upper trail head lot at 6:15 a.m.  No snow until about 1.5 miles in.  Gaiters nice to have, but not necessary.  Did not need any traction devices.  Crunchy snow on the way up, getting softer on the way down.  Trail easy to follow.   We passed 8 hikers coming up as we were going down.  Beautiful day and some great views as usual 😎
