Hiked this at 10:30 on Sunday, Nov 2, taking advantage of the sunshine and the waning fall foliage. It was definitely busy but there was still parking when we arrived and the trail was not overly crowded.
There had been a lot of rain so the trail had some muddy spots but largely in great shape and well maintained, and the waterfalls/river were flowing. It was a good hike for a dog (plenty of other dogs on leash as well) and while not super strenuous, was a nice, basic hike for wanting to get out and do something on a Sunday not too far from Seattle. There were still fall colors and the temp was in the 50s, making for a nice fall day.
I would generally rate this as an easy hike and perfect for a Sunday outdoor activity. We spent 3 hrs 15 mins on the trail including photo stops and a lunch break.
