The road to the trailhead was the best and smoothest I have ever seen in the past 16 years. Near the trailhead there is one tree that leans across the road. It is easy to drive under the tree.
Being midweek, there were only a few cars in the parking lot.
I was surprised to find the toilet very well stocked. Seems like this is the time of the year that it does not get maintained.
The trail was in very good shape, with only one or two small trees on the trail. They were easy to step over.
There was no snow on the trails to Talapus and Olallie Lakes. After seeing Olallie, I followed a boot path above Olallie to the Pratt Lake trail and looped back to Talapus. One picture shows a little snow on the Pratt Lake trail.
There was very little mud on the trail, but that could change on a rainy day.
There are a variety of mushrooms out. I believe the posted mushroom is a Rosy Russula. i have done a taste test, which proved it does taste like a teaspoon of black pepper, but don't swallow.
