Wow, get to Cougar mountain ASAP to see the blanket of big leaf maple leaves; adds a little cushion to the trail and otherwise castes a yellow-orange spell on the forest floor. Topped out at the million dollar view then wandered over to the fantastic erratic.  There is literally an erratic that you can actually touch right in the park?!?!? If you are tired of the Wedgwood and Lake Stevens versions, divert on over to the gift from Canada passed down to us from some past ice age.
