Arrived at the trailhead around 7:50am on Saturday morning. There were about half a dozen vehicles in the lot. The restroom is open and stocked with toilet paper. The road between 90 and the parking lot has a lot of potholes - fine to drive but a few are big/deep. We started hiking a little after 8am, and by that point there were double the number of vehicles. The trail is snow free for the first half, and has some icy snow in the uncovered chutes in the second half. Nothing that required traction but poles were handy for balance. The lake is snow free, but it was super cold and windy at the lake so we took a quick picture and then left. We were at the lake around 9:40 and back down at the lot around 11am. The parking lot was full, with cars parked in the middle of the lot blocking in my friend’s car next to us. Luckily we left at the same time or he would’ve have a problem getting out.
