What an awesome day for a hike, and what a great choice, as the views were simply awesome from Dickerman Mountain. Aferrenberg and I, along with 3 mountaineers got started at 8:55am this morning. As we were heading up in the forest on one of the 51 switchbacks, two sketchy looking dudes came up behind us. Lo and behold the two gentlemen were not sketchy, they in fact were Glen99, and SoaringEagle!! I guess great minds think alike,!! haha!!! What a pleasant surprise to see them!! Anyways, there is a few sections once out of the forest where the trail is very wet and muddy, and at some places is like a stream. Having waterproof shoes and gaiters is helpful. No need for snowshoes, but we did put on microspikes for the way down. Excellent time to do this hike, especially on a bluebird day like today!!

Did you mention in another post you live in Easton? If so, how do manage to drive this in a single day? 5hrs of driving is more time driving than hiking! I'm guessing you are perhaps retired or independently wealthy maybe since you are out hiking everyday.
