Took advantage of a respite in our November weather to do a single night trip up to Snoqualmie Lake starting Friday morning the 7th and coming back down the 8th. I planned one night at Snoqualmie lake and had it totally to myself.
The trail overall was in pretty good shape with the only thing worth planning in advance for is that there are a number of places your feet might get wet on small creek crossings. For the most part you can easily cross on rocks and they aren't slick, but having some degree of waterproof shoes will help and even more so if you're overnighting and need to worry about when temps drop.
The night I planned next to Snoqualmie lake was forecast to be 27°F but only got down to 31°. I was able to make a small fire in the pit and it was quite enjoyable until I turned in for the night. I stashed the few extra pieces of wood under a stump at the second campsite right next to the water and covered them under bark to hopefully keep them dry in case someone later in the winter needs them.
In the morning, I took a short hike up to deer and bear lakes. The snow picks up around the 3700ft level but it's still pretty minimal and didn't need micro spikes. I didn't quite go all the way to Dorothy Lake but that was mostly because I didn't want to climb back up. I would say at the deepest part this weekend it was maybe 1 inch. I'm sure that can change quickly though.
Overall I was quite happy with Snoqualmie lake as an overnight at a slightly lower elevation that likely is free of too much snow at this time of year.
