Trip report mainly to provide trail condition info. Hiked up to Marmot Pass, then on up from there to the peak of Buckhorn Mountain. Trail in pretty good shape. About 3-4 blowdowns to navigate. Only one was a little hard to get around. Not really any snow until Camp Mystery. Then the snow was icy and crunchy. I did not put my micro spikes on, but I would recommend them coming down from the pass to the camp if conditions are similar. Marmot Pass to Buckhorn peak was pretty clear of snow. Boot path disappeared occasionally, but no issues. Started in the rain, but it was sunny at the peak (with a cold North wind 🥶). Good hike. Saw no other hikers. I was the only car at the trailhead at 6 a.m, and the only car in the lot when I got back down at 12:30 p.m.
