Great hike on a clear day. We arrived around noon and all available parking was full except for the one open spot we nabbed. (However, in the time it took us to switch into our hiking shoes, lock up, etc. some other groups were exiting the trail so I expect there's fairly swift parking turnover.)
On the way up, it is generally a steady uphill climb with a few more level breaks. My hiking partner and I appreciated how quickly the trail winds you away from the highway noise which is always nice. Many families were out on the trail today in high spirits.
All in all, it took us ~1.5 hours for the whole hike including climbing the tower and leisurely lunching with a view.
