Lower Big Quilcene River — Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025

Hiked from the lower trailhead to 4.2 miles in on a lovely fall day.  The spur road to the trailhead was partly blocked by a couple of blowdowns, which I cleared with loppers and hand saw.

The trail was in good shape for the first 4 miles.  I cleared a couple of small blowdowns along the way.  The trail became brushy at around Mile 4, so I cleared it with my loppers.  At 4.2 miles, a big triple blowdown blocks the trail.  I cleared a temporary path around it.
