This was an awesome trail for a quick hike! I was surprised how quiet it was even for a crisp November morning, I ran into maybe 5 other people the whole time.
I had my nine month old kiddo packed in the carrier and it was a perfect trail to take her on, not too difficult but still enough adventure to be fun. The trail is well maintained, there are a few logs on the trail, but nothing difficult to get over.
My original intention was to connect to the Bullitt Trail and get up to the fireplace, but that section of trail was a little more overgrown. Nothing that a little bushwhacking couldn't deal with, but it wasn't something I wanted to do with a kiddo in the backseat so I decided to turn around there.
Still, it was about 5 miles round trip and 1300 ft gain. It took me about 2 hours with a few quick breaks.
Although there were no views the whole time it was just a great, peaceful walk in the woods. Different from many other Issaquah area hikes, you get to listen to babbling Bullitt Creek the whole time, instead of nearby highways.
I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quick jaunt in the woods!
