I arrived at the parking lot for Issaquah High School to meet my hiking group around 8 AM on a drizzly Saturday and there were several parking spots still available. There is also a privy available in the parking area.
After leaving the parking area around 8:45, we followed the High School Trail and the Poo Poo Point Trail all the way to the viewpoint. Both trails are in good shape right now. The only obstacle I noticed along the way is a large tree over the Poo Poo Point trail. However, everyone in my group was able to navigate over the tree with no issue. I also noticed a couple areas of mud near the viewpoint, but these were no issue. Both trails climb steadily toward the viewpoint and the steepest areas required some attention on our return trip due to slippery rocks and roots, but everyone in my group had trekking poles and these were helpful when navigating the slickest areas.
We arrived at the viewpoint around 10:30 and it was initially fogged in but the clouds lifted a bit for some decent views by the time we left around 11. We followed the same route back and returned to the parking area around 1 PM, just in time for the rain and drizzle that held off for our entire hike to return. Strava measured the round trip distance for my hike to be about 8 miles.
