#optoutsidefriday brought us to Clear Lake Hill. This little gem of a hike is a logging area where walkers are welcome. We parked just off of Morford Rd in Clear Lake at the gate. There is room for 4 cars but there was 5 when we left. We followed the logging road up and just past the power lines, we took a left. About half a mile later we took another left and came to a landing with a rocky area. Beautiful views of Clear Lake and into the Big Lake Valley. Views of Mount Baker and upriver. Then views of the Skagit Valley below. We could see Rainier, the Olympics and the Puget Sound. The hike isn’t too strenuous but does have a few steeper up sections that are short. Can’t wait to go back and explore more. We hiked 4 miles.
