I arrived at 6. Still before sunrise. There is parking for about 20 vehicles at the Washington pass sign. The road to the overlook is closed and snowed in. When I arrived there were 5 other vans/cars parked, all seemed to be camping at the pass. Plenty of space.
The road has been groomed for cross country skiing, so be mindful if walking in and stay on the edges.
The entire pass overlook is covered in snow. Dry compact snow the entire way, easy to follow and nothing that requires traction.
I was the only one actually on the pass overlook for the mountains. The only other people I saw were a pair of cross country skiers. I had the place to myself for an hour and a half!
When I arrived back at parking things were not more crowded than when I left.
