I like the forest the trail goes through. Ponderosa with grass. It feels park like at times. Trail was borderline too wet to hike. We didn't leave footprints so it was okay, but really slick in places between the snow and mud. Didn't see anyone on the trail. Tracks from dirt bikes and deer on the trail. Went up to the ridge and the first peak. Not a bad place to get out close to town. Kind of a sketchy shanty town/dump just before the trailhead.
