Tolmie State Park - Four Cedars Trail — Friday, Dec. 12, 2025

Finally a decent day to take my new dog out for his first hike! We arrived at the trailhead at 9:00 and were the only car in the lot. The trail is in mostly good condition, however there were multiple blowdowns and a few areas of standing water/water running over the trail. We ran into a lovely group of Mountaineers doing trail work, so hopefully some of those blowdowns are gone! it seemed like the worst of it was the last (first?) 1/2 mile from the event center. 

We stopped to check out Puget Sound before heading out. It must have been high tide and all the rain, but it looked pretty muddy/dirty out there. All in all, not a bad day for a little hike!
