Parked at the Y Road trailhead, and headed up the Hedgehog and Lion's Mane trails to a small viewpoint. Headed back down the same way rather than doing a loop via the Earth Star trail (which is used by mountain bikes to go downhill).
Road Conditions. Paved road. No facilities at the trailhead.
Trail Conditions. Well-maintained trail with a few muddy spots, but no quagmire.
Highlights. The views were not extra-spectacular, and will be overgrown in a few years, but better than nothing?
Crowds. The large parking lot had 1-2 open spots both when we arrived around 11am, and when we left around 2pm There was a steady trickle of mountain bikers, a few parties on foot, and one party on horseback.
