It was a beautiful day for a winter hike. Water was flowing in narrow rock channels across the path, with very little standing water or muddy patches. I packed my trekking poles, but didn’t need the at all. We only saw one other trio of hikers during our two hour afternoon outing. It was awesome to see the river raging through the canyon. The river was a comfortable distance from the trail at the lowest points.
