Another great Christmas hike and trail-side feast! 

I've included 4min of video highlights below

Trail: closed a mile out from debris.  Several trees down across trail before that, easy to get past. Recent snow all melted on trail.

Crowds: saw no one else on the hike.

Recipes tried on this one: angel made from cheese as appetizer; yellow star of Bethlehem sugar cookie; skillet manger scene by cutting calamari steaks into Joseph, Mary & Crib shapes, atop a bed of seaweed salad, surrounded by clams and bacon-wrapped scallops; an Argentine chimichurri sauce and a Slovakian cranberry-beet sauce.  Bell peppers cut into stars.  It all turned out great!
