We took advantage of a short weather window to head over to the Balfour-Klickitat Day Use Area to see the bald eagles. The trail is ~ 1 mile long and mostly paved with one short muddy section in need of drainage work. The eagles were everywhere! We counted at least 35 along the loop, most of which were roosting along a creek and pond tributary of the Klickitat. Spawned-out salmon and other random waterfowl were seen in the pond below. Afterward we headed into White Salmon for lunch at Everybody's Brewing and then home to watch another kind of waterfowl (The Seahawks) beat up on the 49ers. It was a very nice little Saturday.

Love seeing your eagle pics! Were those 2 juveniles in your 2nd photo? Did you see lots of juvies?
