Cherry Creek Falls — Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West
Cherry Creek Falls

Moss covered trees and overflowing waterfalls await around 10 minutes from downtown Duvall.

There are no public toilets or forest passes required at the top of the trial. I would stop in town for any last second bathroom breaks.

Next, the first 1/2 mile of the hike is on private property. There are many signs that highlight which section of the trail is impacted, so it's pretty obvious and easy to respect that boundary.

The hike itself is very fun and very green. At the beginning of the hike, Cherry Creek is currently gushing, following you as you begin your mild assent.

You should be ready to ford several streams that are at full volume. Several Duvall locals remarked that they had never seen the water level that high during the crossing before the falls. We brought our sticks and waterproof hiking boots, so we managed, but beware if you are in sneakers.

Several felled trees mark this trail, I would say these create minor detours and provide nice variation in the trial. However, I would be cautious if I had children or folks with mobility issues traversing some of these inclines.

The falls themself are pouring right now, just a wonderful sight to see. There are also several abandoned cars, very cool.

I hope you enjoy this wonderful trail as much as I did!
