Little Si, Boulder Garden Loop — Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026

We had a great winter hike to Little Si today. The first lot was half full when we pulled in at 9:20. The bathrooms were open and stocked with TP. We headed up the trail and took a right on the  Boulder Garden Loop. This added more rocks, roots and step up down situations. Younger trail runners were out on both trails and were fine flying over the uneven terrain. The entire trail is saturated soil, mostly well drained. There were 3 downed trees to step under or go under on our route. We arrived at the summit and it was totally sunny. So we sat down on the rocks with water filled potholes and enjoyed a long lunch break basking in the sun. This felt incredibly warm for a January day. Fog type clouds obscured Mt Si view on and off. Many trail users were out all day long. We pulled out at 3:20 and it was still sunny out in Snoqualmie Valley, a few miles up I-90 towards Hwy 19 and we had thick clouds overhead. Another fantastic day out in nature with friends!
