Catherine Creek - Natural Arch — Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026

Southwest Washington > Columbia River Gorge - WA
The Natural Arch from below

The trail is open.  Although this area burned in the 2025 Burdoin Fire the trail is now open. Grasses are greening up the burn area but there is plenty of evidence of the fire (scorched trees, charred stumps, etc.).  The trail is primarily on old road beds and rock, so the fire did note affect footing very much.

The plank across Catherine Creek on the Tracy Hill trail is damaged and was underwater when I was there.  There was a log jam just downstream that I was able to use to cross without getting my feet wet, but there is no telling how long the jam will remain in place.

The natural arch is an interesting site - it is visible from the Tracy Hill trail.
