Started early for a sunrise hike and we were one of the first ones on the trail; Upper parking lot was open when we arrived at 4:30AM. Trail is in great shape, no major obstacles and we took the old route up and down. There's very little snow near the top and we never carried spikes thanks to a few recent trip reports. Was a chilly start to our morning but temps warmed up pretty quickly once the sun came out - epic sunrise painted in beautiful hues and a perfect blue bird day with no wind at the top to enjoy this winter sunrise hike.Despite the favorable conditions, this is still a steep hike and definitely kicked butt! Parking lot was packed when we got back; Our time was 3 hrs up, 1 hr at summit and 2 hrs down.
