Blyth Park, Wayne Golf Course — Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
a bit of hair ice out this morning

Quick walk around the Blyth park/Wayne golf course trails this morning.  We parked at Blyth, free and relatively plentiful.  The full restrooms are open and in good condition.  Trails remain a mix of wide gravel, smaller single track and switchbacks up the steeper hillside.  Quite a bit of ice currently on some trails and those areas that were not frozen have some mud.  When the rain comes later this week everything will be pretty sloppy.  Additionally, it looks like some locals use the properties as an off leash puppy potty so watch where you step.  Lastly, there is signage at both locations indicating ongoing and coming work that may result in partial closures.  One bit of good news, much of the trails that run up the hillside from Blyth have recently had quite a bit of work done - clearing, updated drains, filling prior erosion spots, etc.  Kudos to the folks working that section, looks super nice.

the Sammamish Slough runs through both properties
