This trail doesn't get much attention from hikers. It starts at the Olympic National Park Visitor center and is only a half mile loop.
The creek was high, highest I've seen it at least. It was kind of muddy in spots, and there was some storm damage to certain areas of the trial. There was a section of a lookout that was broke. But it is all passable and it looks like the park service will be fixing it soon.
It's definately a great short trail for someone who doesn't have much time, but wants to get out in the woods. There's also a spur trail from the loop trail, following Peabody creek for 2.7 miles. Sadly, the park system doesn't offer much info about these trails (nor are they listed on WTA). Will definately have to go back and check out the longer trail.
