Twin Falls — Saturday, Jun. 26, 2010

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
Twin Falls 6/26/10 by Dr. Dexter.
This was the perfect little hike for people who don't want to venture too far out of Seattle, but are looking for some great nature views, complete with old growth trees, flowing river, and a beautiful waterfall. The trail was dry and well maintained, with one exception, which I will get to later. The trail was easy enough for one who doesn't do much hiking, but has a few inclines, stairs and switchbacks to keep it a little challenging in some places. Between the ease of the hike, its accessibility, closeness to Seattle, and the weather being so nice, this trail attracted a LOT of other people. If you're looking for a little seclusion, this is probably not the trail for you. Due to a higher population on the trail, there was quite a bit of garbage on the trail (and some in the river). I've already made a note to myself to bring a garbage bag if/when I return to this trail to help clean up. There were also quite a few "land mines" from pet owners who were not curbing their dogs, so keep an eye on where you step.
