Mount Rainier Area > NE - Sunrise/White River

Beautiful, cool and sunny day on the trail. First hike of the season that required a lightweight fleece top layer to tame a very brisk and cold wind on the return trip late in the afternoon. Highlight of the trip was seeing approximately 30 to 35 Mountain Goats near Frozen lake. The GPS indicated 4.2 miles from Sunrise Parking lot to the summit of Skyscraper Mountain with 1397 of elevation gain. Fantastic view from the Skyscraper and a relatively low effort hike overall.
