Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

Beautiful lake, just like what you see in the pictures. Fairly steep, both up and down. The trail going down to the lake is very muddy and slippery. The huckleberries are ripe and the ones at the meadows near the top are especially good because they're under the sun. One of the other hikers said they saw a bear in the area, so be careful. It took us 2.5 hours to get to the top at a moderate pace, and 2 hours down and a fairly fast pace.
