So I never actually made it to this trail head because the how you got their directions are wrong. The GPS coordinates are correct and if you use google maps to get directions to the trail head they take you to a different place. The directions here take to to the Salmon La Sac trail head which is pretty but you won't find the Squaw Lake trail head from there!

Correction

GPS coordinates may be what's wrong and what got me confused, since I had perused directions based off o these the night before departing. What's posted is here 47.5450,-121.5450. This point is accessed off of FS 5600 according to Google map directions, not sure what trailhead is actually located here

However, Squaw Lake trail head is shared by Hyas lake which is specified at this location 47.5452,-121.0984, and directions from Seattle to this point match up to the written directions. I realized after a discussion with a few other hikers.
