The first section of the trail is in excellent condition, all the blowdowns have been cleared. The last mile is heavily snow covered...as they say "route finding skills necessary." We were able to follow the boot tracks of previous hikers. The last steep ascend is still partially snow covered. My wife and I each did an unintentional glissade(aka fall) on the way down, fortunately not hurt. Give this one another week or two to melt out. Also mind the cornice at the saddle.
