New Trip Report — Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011

A late start had me on the trail at 1030am, making for a hot hike up. Only snow encountered was on the far side of Nelson Ridge, one snowfield above the saddle of Mount Aix, and a snowfield near the summit. I had poles but did not need them as the snow was soft. Not the perfect dog hike. Nelson Ridge has lots of broken rock that is tough on the pads, but no problems. Four hours up, three hours down. Trail is in excellent condition.
