Rattlesnake Ledge, East Peak — Saturday, Mar. 10, 2012

We set out to hike Rattlesnake Ledge at about 2:00 this afternoon. We were a little worried because it had poured the whole drive to North Bend and was still raining a little bit when we got there. We have never done this hike though and decided to give it a go rain or shine. SO THANKFUL WE DID! The trail up was difficult just because of the intense climb but the conditions weren't bad. It was raining a little but the tree cover kept us mostly dry. When we (and our two pups) made it to the top we were amazed, totally unprepared for the awesome view. The lookout was incredible and as we were hiking back down the mountain we were already planning our next trip back this summer. I highly suggest this hike, one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen!
